News Radio is an application for Palm webOS that allows you to read and listen to stories from NPR News.

This application gives you access to all of the best stories NPR News has to offer right from your Palm Pre or Palm Pixi.

Features

Here are some of the features in the current version of News Radio:

  • Load 20 of the most recent stories from any NPR Feed -- your favorite topic or your favorite program.
  • Stream the audio for stories where available -- speaker icon indicates if a story has audio.
  • Add your Zip Code from the Application Menu to find NPR Stations in your area.
  • Stream live audio from your local NPR Stations ( where available ).

Roadmap

Here are a few things we are working on for future versions of News Radio:

  • Ability to load more stories in any section.
  • Find local stations by GPS positioning.
  • Store stories locally for offline reading.
  • Create custom playlists to listen to stories back to back.
  • Search functionality.
